Truecrypt Alternative - Solid Soul - Jan 27, 2015 Hello all, So I have been informed TrueCrypt is not safe anymore for several reasons. Anyone has some good suggestions what is best to use as a alternative? Honestly it isn't safe to use, they even left a message on there website that the NSA has modified it for there purposes - Its a theory but its strongly believed to be true. I suggest using DiskCryptor - https://diskcryptor.net/wiki/Main_Page * - Ghanem - Jan 28, 2015 What about veracrypt guys? Any opinions? * - obviouslyracist - Jan 28, 2015 +1 on DiskCryptor if you don't trust 7.1a (Jan 28, 2015 03:07 AM)Ghanem Wrote: What about veracrypt guys?I don't trust it as much(I should also mention this based on information from a few months ago so I don't know if they have become trustworthy). If you are only crypting single files, then I also recommend AxCrypt * - -Hyperion - Jan 30, 2015 Use bit locker as an alternative it works extremely well * - Solid Soul - Jan 30, 2015 (Jan 30, 2015 08:23 AM)-Hyperion Wrote: Use bit locker as an alternative it works extremely well Many people say not to use bitlocker since that's what "they" want you to use.. Sigh, wake up everything is backdoor most likely and privacy is an illusion. You are still using Windows,Google and your ISP products. Bit locker is just as safe to use as any of the others, if you have something that you are worried about them being able to decrypt it then I got news for you buddy... You probably have bigger things to worry about and are already on their watch list. |
