How to chargeback over virtual items? - dcent - Feb 8, 2015 Hey there, all. I'm in the midst of a deal for a Amazon Gift Code and 24 hours after the payment it seems that the user has no intent of sending it; upon receiving the money they've gone offline and haven't returned since. If I were to chargeback to attempt to get my money back, what "proof" would I use in the dispute and how would I go about this whole thing? Cheers. * - Gotal - Feb 8, 2015 "You haven't received the item" is the best thing to say, but wait for more replies, I have never chargedback so I'm not sure. * - Gengar™ - Feb 8, 2015 (Feb 8, 2015 05:40 AM)James Comey Wrote: "You haven't received the item" is the best thing to say, Don't do this. Never mention that you paid for a virtual item. PayPal sides (almost) every time with the seller. You would be better off claiming it was unauthorized. * - System.out.println - Feb 8, 2015 (Feb 8, 2015 05:40 AM)James Comey Wrote: "You haven't received the item" is the best thing to say, Don't say this! Paypal doesn't cover virtual items so you will lose every time. The only thing you can do: make up a story that your Paypal account has been hacked. If you logged in on your Paypal account with a different IP then the success rate is much higher. Make it look like someone knew your password. * - Zer0x - Feb 8, 2015 There is no way to do that, simply you won't win a virtual item dispute * - Gotal - Feb 8, 2015 (Feb 8, 2015 05:49 AM)Zer0x Wrote: There is no way to do that, simply you won't win a virtual item dispute That's not true, many people won dispute against me when I was selling a virtual item. * - Martino - Feb 8, 2015 (Feb 8, 2015 06:50 AM)James Comey Wrote: That's not true, Call and say it was for a IRL item .
