Gonna check later * - eCoLoGy - Mar 2, 2015 "I recently had the idea to make a tool for you guys who dont know how to add something to the startup directory" This is just wrong. The code you placed uses the Registry Entry to add your file to the Startup. You can also put your file into the Windows Startup Folder. From your sentence you said you add something to the startup directory. That is wrong. Your code is using the Registry method, not the startup folder. * - titanbullet - Mar 2, 2015 Startup folder would be easier and more efficient. Good job anyway, thanks for sharing. * - eCoLoGy - Mar 3, 2015 (Mar 2, 2015 10:56 AM)titanbullet Wrote: Startup folder would be easier and more efficient. Good job anyway, thanks for sharing. You're wrong. Using Registry is much more efficient than the Startup Folder. This is because normal users are not familiar with it but knowing the startup folder is pretty easy and common knowledge. * - Ϲasp3r - Mar 8, 2015 (Mar 3, 2015 03:42 AM)eCoLoGy Wrote: You're wrong. That actually depends on the OS in use and how old the users are. Most people don't actually know where the startup folder is in the newer (7,8,8.1) versions of windows are and would struggle to find it. * - 0xDEAD10CC - Mar 8, 2015 All you have to do is open explorer.exe and in the address bar type: Code shell:startupHow hard is that? No need to memorize the location or even know where it is. Easiest method for a startup program and easiest to remove a startup program for a regular Windows user. * - xVipX - Mar 14, 2015 & u can copy him : system.io.file.copy(application.extublepath,envrenment.getfolderpath(7) & "\k.exe") sory for my bad english |
