I started a help desk a while ago, but it died, so I decided to start it again!
Ask me anything about modding, jailbreaking or downgrading. I cannot promise that I know the answer to everything, but I'll try to do my research.
I won't help you with piracy, and ODE's. I know nothing about ODE's and I'm too lazy to read about it.

I have heard that spoofs were patched lately, and now I cannot go online. I am running the PS3ita 4.55 DEX firmware. How can I fix this, if there's a way at least? Thanks.

How would I Jailbreak my PS3? I've been wanting to do it for a while now but only recently have i been able to start it.

There's alot that goes into it. First off, you need to check your model number (can be found on the back of your PS3) and check your minimum downgradable firmware (Search up MinVerChk)
Keep in mind that Superslims won't work
If you PS3 is downgradable, you may proceed to purchase an E3-Flasher or any other hardware flasher to downgrade. This process is quite hard for those who have no knowledge of this. I would advice you to search around and understand the basics of it. The point is to get your PS3 to OFW 3.55, and then install your desired CFW.
Ask any more questions if you have any :)

How much would an E3-Flasher cost? And are there any free alternatives?

They only way I'd imagine to get one free is if your friend has had one before.
But they can cost around $70

You should also spoof your console ID, to reduce the ban risk.
EDIT: You would also need to upgrade to Habib 4.65 CFW, as I think that's the only CFW you can go online on atm
