Need help with limited (a lot of gift payments which weren't actual gifts) PayPal. - Finesse God - Jul 30, 2015 I received two emails from PayPal: Quote:Thank you for using PayPal to accept payments. You can receive money from friends and family for personal payments within the US for free. Personal payments are for sending a gift, splitting a lunch bill, paying your share of the living expenses, and everyday exchanges of money between friends and family. After that email I did not take any other gift payments. Now 2 days ago they limited my account and they are asking me information about some payments that I received. Now the thing is I had a lot of people send me payments as friends/family but I sent them goods (I have a goods service on another forum). What should I tell PayPal? The other email: Quote:hank you for choosing PayPal to send and receive payments for your * - PhantomElite - Jul 30, 2015 How do they tell that they weren't legit gifts anyway? And can't you accept donations? * - Hackforums97 - Jul 30, 2015 Just tell them that you were doing Bitcoin exchange and that You were just trying to maximize profits like any normal person and didn't know that this was part of their policy and that you'll work with paypal to create a better relationship with them and understand that paypal also needs to make their 30 cents + 2.3% Fee and that from now you'll use goods. It's better to tell the truth. Trust me :) * - Finesse God - Jul 30, 2015 (Jul 30, 2015 06:05 AM)Flacko Jodye Wrote: Just tell them that you were doing Bitcoin exchange and that You were just trying to maximize profits like any normal person and didn't know that this was part of their policy and that you'll work with paypal to create a better relationship with them and understand that paypal also needs to make their 30 cents + 2.3% Fee and that from now you'll use goods. I don't think it's allowed to exchange BTC for PP and viceversa. * - 64-Bit - Jul 30, 2015 I fucking hate Paypal with a passion. They always make honest guys like us suffer. * - Hackforums97 - Jul 30, 2015 (Jul 30, 2015 06:14 AM)Finesse God Wrote: I don't think it's allowed to exchange BTC for PP and viceversa. Yea you are.... They updated in their TOS a couple months ago. * - Shorta - Jul 30, 2015 Haha I just got one of those emails as well, but that's because we used my friends PP to get payments from Web Development and got my split as a gift.
* - Period blood - Jul 30, 2015 Just tell the truth -- like any other normal human being would. * - Finesse God - Aug 1, 2015 Still need help resolving this guys. * - Victini - Aug 1, 2015 You'd have more luck posting this in the marketplace discussions... Someone who knows what to do may stumble upon ur post there :) * - The Supreme Gentleman - Aug 1, 2015 Call them, and either say it was parents, friends, etc paying you back for living costs, etc. Or say it was your birthday, and your friends and family were giving you gifts.
