Need help with limited (a lot of gift payments which weren't actual gifts) PayPal.

I received two emails from PayPal:

Quote:Thank you for using PayPal to accept payments. You can receive money from friends and family for personal payments within the US for free. Personal payments are for sending a gift, splitting a lunch bill, paying your share of the living expenses, and everyday exchanges of money between friends and family.

If you receive money as a payment for a purchase or service, you will continue to incur fees.

We've noticed that some customers are sending you personal payments for purchases of items or services; for example, transaction xxx.

Unfortunately, this is against our policies, and we need your help correcting it. Please don't ask or allow your customers to use personal payments to pay for their purchases.

If we continue to see such activity after 08/08/2015, we may have to disable your ability to receive free personal payments, and then you will pay fees for all money received through PayPal.

You can find more information about payment types and fees in sections 4.1 and 8 of our User Agreement – just click "Legal Agreements" at the bottom of any PayPal page.

If you have any questions, concerns, or think we may have made a mistake, please contact us at [email protected]. Thank you for helping us resolve this matter.

After that email I did not take any other gift payments. Now 2 days ago they limited my account and they are asking me information about some payments that I received. Now the thing is I had a lot of people send me payments as friends/family but I sent them goods (I have a goods service on another forum).

What should I tell PayPal?

The other email:
Quote:hank you for choosing PayPal to send and receive payments for your
transactions.

In an effort to ensure compliance with the Acceptable Use Policy, we ask
that you provide us with more information regarding your website/s and/or
certain payments, so we can verify that your transactions do not violate
our policies.

Please refer to:
- Transaction xxx for the amount of $32.89 USD
- Transaction xxx for the amount of $17.00 USD
- Transaction xxx for the amount of $85.00 USD
- Transaction xxx for the amount of $4.00 USD

In order to comply with our Acceptable Use Policy and avoid the limitation
of your account, you will need to:
- Describe the products and/or services associated with your PayPal
transaction/s.
If these transactions are associated with a website, please provide access
to the URLs of any website/s where these transactions originated.
If these transactions are not associated with sales from a website, please
provide specific information as to the nature of the transactions,
including a description of the products or services involved in these
payments.

How do they tell that they weren't legit gifts anyway?
And can't you accept donations?
Just tell them that you were doing Bitcoin exchange and that You were just trying to maximize profits like any normal person and didn't know that this was part of their policy and that you'll work with paypal to create a better relationship with them and understand that paypal also needs to make their 30 cents + 2.3% Fee and that from now you'll use goods.

It's better to tell the truth. Trust me :)

I don't think it's allowed to exchange BTC for PP and viceversa.

Yea you are.... They updated in their TOS a couple months ago.
Haha I just got one of those emails as well, but that's because we used my friends PP to get payments from Web Development and got my split as a gift. [Image: IxVuSkf.png?1]

You'd have more luck posting this in the marketplace discussions... Someone who knows what to do may stumble upon ur post there :)
Call them, and either say it was parents, friends, etc paying you back for living costs, etc.
Or say it was your birthday, and your friends and family were giving you gifts.
