remove - Mad76e - Sep 26, 2015 removed sorry about that! * - Wireless Network - Sep 26, 2015 HQ post as always. Some useful info for beginners. If i may add, about using kali linux live usb, i recommend INSTALLING it on usb, so make it persistance, so you won't lose files after you turn off computer. * - Clutch - Sep 26, 2015 The first heading should be spelled "Prologue". Otherwise, good information. * - Mad76e - Sep 26, 2015 (Sep 26, 2015 07:00 AM)Wireless Network Wrote: HQ post as always. Some useful info for beginners. You wrote the opposite. can you please enlighten this ? * - Mad76e - Sep 27, 2015 (Sep 27, 2015 11:02 AM)rootsh3ll Wrote: Nice article you got there. ? where.. how did i miss that * - rootsh3ll - Sep 27, 2015 In the "Why buy" section Line no. 2, After "Downside is that you.." It says that you cant reach longer than inbuilt antenna. * - Mad76e - Sep 27, 2015 (Sep 27, 2015 11:24 AM)rootsh3ll Wrote: In the "Why buy" section well i didn't see it like you do, but i rewrote that, just in case so no one else will think that * - rootsh3ll - Sep 27, 2015 (Sep 27, 2015 11:43 AM)mad76e™ Wrote: well i didn't see it like you do, but i rewrote that, just in case so no one else will think that Nice!..Now it's fine. :) * - Bloodpulse - Sep 27, 2015 I've got 1 question man, does having a bigger antenna make the wireless card need more power? Or does that not matter? * - Mad76e - Sep 27, 2015 (Sep 27, 2015 01:28 PM)Bloodpulse Wrote: I've got 1 question man, does having a bigger antenna make the wireless card need more power? Or does that not matter? No, you cant draw more power from the wifi stick then what its made to deliver.. Also the USB port cant handle more then 2500W (or 2 ports 5000w) however there's a workaround for those who want more out of their long range wifi, and that's amplifiers, there's some problems and solutions involved. however you will be just fine without it. * - Bloodpulse - Sep 27, 2015 Ahhh k, so replacing a let's say 13dbi with a 24dbi antenna will not make the card to need more power? I'm asking because I'm using an awus036nha on a raspberry pi2, and even though it's delivered with a single usb cable, the card needs 2 usb cables to properly function without dropping connections.. Which seems like a power thing, so I was just assuming that bigger antenna means more power.. * - Mad76e - Sep 27, 2015 (Sep 27, 2015 03:51 PM)Bloodpulse Wrote: Ahhh k, so replacing a let's say 13dbi with a 24dbi antenna will not make the card to need more power? I didn't said that.. i said "you cant draw more power from the wifi stick then what its made to deliver" unless you modify the software, which i guess you not have done. Connect 2 usb-ports doesn't make it to use more power than it already consuming, however it might be more stable * - Bloodpulse - Sep 28, 2015 (Sep 27, 2015 04:35 PM)mad76e™ Wrote: I didn't said that.. i said "you cant draw more power from the wifi stick then what its made to deliver" unless you modify the software, which i guess you not have done.
