This is not a homework helpdesk. - Geackoo - Nov 9, 2015 I haven't been on HF for a couple of months, but looking at this forum right now makes me sad. It has turned into a 'do this homework for me' or 'help me with this exercise' section. Newly joined members just create a new topic, paste the exercise, paste the code and worst of all sometimes also write something like 'deadline is quick, help quick!!!'. 😠I mean, posting a question about a specific thing is totally OK in my opinion. If you have an exercise on Java in which you need to utilize Generic Classes / Types and don't understand this, feel free to post on the forum to ask specifically about Generic Types. Someone will explain it, you will try to understand it and you can make your exercise and understand what you are doing. This is way better than just shamelessly posting the full thing hoping someone will fix / create it for you and take credit for it without even trying to understand. Anyone else feel this way? Or is it just me? * - RISC - Nov 9, 2015 (Nov 9, 2015 08:36 AM)Geackoo Wrote: I haven't been on HF for a couple of months, but looking at this forum right now makes me sad. I don't give a shit, someone asks a question I still answer it, sometimes in an insulting manner but what do I care. I've only asked two questions on this forum both of which couldn't be answered by anyone on this shit excuse for a developer forum. One was my LLDB skips over my inline assembly instructions after being compiled with LLVM and the other was why hooking the IRP read routine on a keyboard device driver kept giving me an empty buffer but a higher level filter above the kbdclass driver returned a buffer in the completion routine. Just answer the question. If you can't, then ignore it. Quit complaining. * - csrk - Nov 9, 2015 Judging by your posting history you don't really contribute much here anyway. You've made 2 posts to the coding subforum in the last 5 months? Just ignore the threads you deem unworthy of your attention and move on. * - +Haze - Nov 9, 2015 This is a coding section, there is bound to be students that need homework help, nothing you can do to prevent it. * - SIM-1725686 - Nov 10, 2015 People asking questions is natural lol. Just live with it and help them so they don't have to ask again. I just made a little program that beginners can use to ask their question and be shown a Google page that brings them to the information they want. It's called i-am-a-skid.
