Possible re-brand - Null - Nobility - Aug 16, 2016 Sales have been up for roughly 6 months now and well people are still low ballin. So I'm considering the thought of a re-brand or maybe continuing on Null (not sure my top 6 actives are currently behind bars or under investigation). Any who's thoughts? Of course any replies won't be taken 110% seriously. Quick headsup to my Null crew: As you know I stopped using Skype a year ago, message me on HF if you're still active. * - Pew - Aug 16, 2016 I've always liked the concept of Null. It was one of the only groups, aside from Archive, that strived to better the forum. At the end of the day it's your call. I have a few ideas. If you're interested pm me. * - Compulsive - Aug 16, 2016 I wasnt quite sure what Null was, but if you guys make some mentoring, you could really see some more results. * - Pew - Aug 16, 2016 (Aug 16, 2016 04:22 PM)Compulsive Wrote: I wasnt quite sure what Null was, but if you guys make some mentoring, you could really see some more results. If I remember correctly that's how they operated. They offered teaching within the SF. I believe you applied for a certain skill you wanted to learn. * - minimalist - Aug 16, 2016 If you're going to rebrand, do something that isn't against site policy so that you can keep the on-site activity high. Your choice though, obviously. * - Nobility - Aug 16, 2016 (Aug 16, 2016 04:23 PM)Pew Wrote: If I remember correctly that's how they operated. They offered teaching within the SF. But as time progressed it seemed as if it was a pipe dream, basically all those members who ended up paying for those "classes" during Vinnie's era pretty much got scammed. I still let those guys in Null just because I feel partially responsible being the owner, even though I never got to see the money. Main reason that program went down was the ongoing investigations on Vinnie, otherwise it might've been a success. * - Pew - Aug 16, 2016 (Aug 16, 2016 04:25 PM)Nobility Wrote: That was something Vinnie implemented, in theory when the project started it sounded great. I'm sure you'll be able to find capable mentors all around HF. However, instead of buyins maybe you should just do it for free as a way to spike activity. If it does bring lots of activity feel free to do with it as you wish. * - Nobility - Aug 16, 2016 (Aug 16, 2016 04:23 PM)Minimalist Wrote: If you're going to rebrand, do something that isn't against site policy so that you can keep the on-site activity high. Not sure if they'll come back to HF but I've texted them for help. bugga Hexicidal * - Doxicity - Aug 16, 2016 Do you truly have the time on your hands to dedicate to running Null? It might sound like a good idea, but I have a feeling Null would just go inactive again after a month. Re-branding into an entirely new group/concept, or just a re-vamping of the existent group? * - HairyHarry - Aug 16, 2016 I'm still looking for a group, where I can teach other members. It's the only reason why I would join a group. Feel free to drop me a PM, if you want more info. * - Nobility - Aug 16, 2016 (Aug 16, 2016 04:29 PM)Doxicity Wrote: Do you truly have the time on your hands to dedicate to running Null? 1. Yeah generally got time on my hands at the beginning of the school year, after Winter I usually run with the harder Uni classes. 3. I suppose that question is basically Community vs. Null members - I'm not sure how many of my guys(Null) are even around. * - minimalist - Aug 16, 2016 (Aug 16, 2016 04:28 PM)Nobility Wrote: I've asked a few old friends and acquaintances if they'd like to help run things if I go through with things. Good luck if you decide to go with it 🙂. * - Thornzzz - Aug 16, 2016 I support you with what you decide to Null, I've known you for three years and been friends with you for awhile so, I support you with your future endeavors with Null. * - grady - Aug 16, 2016 (Aug 16, 2016 04:36 PM)Minimalist Wrote: I'd honestly like to see something new from a group instead of constant rehashes, a re-branded Null might just do that for me. If we brought in what Th3Pony was doing in his second group: SecurityHub, and having people teach each other, that'd be pretty sick. * - Doxicity - Aug 16, 2016 If you end up deciding to reboot the group, definitely keep the userbar and name. They're one of the only groups left to remind me of the old days. |
