[REMINDER] You need licenses to operate a BTC gambling site. - Devil - Aug 23, 2016 I'm seeing way to many of these spring up recently and seeing so many folk with plans to develop them. A quick reminder to those who are planning to get involved in the industry - if you want to do this properly with no repercussions, you'll need a license from the start in all countries that have declared Bitcoin as a real currency, otherwise you face being extradited to countries which you do not ban from accessing your casino. * - Indecisive enough - Aug 23, 2016 Damn man why you craving for so much attention. * - thales - Aug 23, 2016 I believe the US hasn't declared btc a currency? Correct me if I'm wrong. * - The Canadian - Aug 23, 2016 I know alot of owners who don't give a fuck and keep their site off-shore and make sure they stay private and un-traceable. Seems to work for most sites without a license. * - Shoe - Aug 23, 2016 (Aug 23, 2016 09:17 PM)Indecisive enough Wrote: Damn man why you craving for so much attention.Oh look, it's like he's trying to help the community or something! Big whoop. * - thales - Aug 23, 2016 (Aug 23, 2016 09:21 PM)Shoe Wrote: U.S. has not, however some countries (ex China) have and have policies around it.Yea I think Russia has as well. * - Devil - Aug 23, 2016 (Aug 23, 2016 09:17 PM)thales Wrote: I believe the US hasn't declared btc a currency? Correct me if I'm wrong. No, but all forms of online gambling are prohibited in the US as far as I believe. Or st least certain states. * - Meow - Aug 23, 2016 Haven't seen a BTC site pop up for a long time, I must be looking in the wrong place. Last time I checked there are 1-2 BTC gambling sites that are operated by HF members. * - Bαker - Aug 23, 2016 (Aug 23, 2016 09:22 PM)Don Vasquez Wrote: No, but all forms of online gambling are prohibited in the US as far as I believe. You are correct its Federally illegal, but some states allow it to a certain degree, ergo Las Vegas (I think) * - Devil - Aug 23, 2016 (Aug 23, 2016 09:23 PM)Meow Wrote: Haven't seen a BTC site pop up for a long time, I must be looking in the wrong place. Only one has caught my eye, but the licenses are going to hit me hard. * - Mr. Robot - Aug 24, 2016 Yes you do indeed need a license to legally do this however there are ways around it. * - minimalist - Aug 24, 2016 People with "business proposals/plans" are usually not too keen with the laws surrounding the business that they hope to run. Baffles me how ignorant and lacking of common sense some "businessmen" can be. * - Backopy - Aug 24, 2016 Anyone making a revenue stream large enough to attract taxation attention isn't going to be operating on HF in the first place. Those that do earn a decent amount will just launder the money anyway. There's no incentive to go "legit" - licenses for gambling are hard to obtain, let alone on an international level. Pointless thread IMO. * - Supreme_ - Aug 24, 2016 You're not getting extradited out of the US for running a BTC gambling site, ok * - Reece Morgan - Aug 24, 2016 (Aug 23, 2016 09:16 PM)Don Vasquez Wrote: otherwise you face being extradited to countries which you do not ban from accessing your casino. That's not how extradition works. It's ridiculous that you actually think the world works that way. |
