[REMINDER] You need licenses to operate a BTC gambling site.

I'm seeing way to many of these spring up recently and seeing so many folk with plans to develop them.

A quick reminder to those who are planning to get involved in the industry - if you want to do this properly with no repercussions, you'll need a license from the start in all countries that have declared Bitcoin as a real currency, otherwise you face being extradited to countries which you do not ban from accessing your casino.
Damn man why you craving for so much attention.
I believe the US hasn't declared btc a currency? Correct me if I'm wrong.
I know alot of owners who don't give a fuck and keep their site off-shore and make sure they stay private and un-traceable. Seems to work for most sites without a license.

Oh look, it's like he's trying to help the community or something! You could take some pointers from OP.

U.S. has not, however some countries (ex China) have and have policies around it.

They're lucky right now, and luck runs out. The best way to do it is to do it properly. What's the harm? You put your name out there. Big whoop.
Moving on in life in such a way that doesn't include HF. HF allowed me to get into the security field and peaked my interest: I appreciate everyone's time, effort, and encouragement. If for some reason you have a means to message me outside HF, feel free to, but I won't be coming back.

Yea I think Russia has as well.

No, but all forms of online gambling are prohibited in the US as far as I believe. Or st least certain states.
Haven't seen a BTC site pop up for a long time, I must be looking in the wrong place. Last time I checked there are 1-2 BTC gambling sites that are operated by HF members.

You are correct its Federally illegal, but some states allow it to a certain degree, ergo Las Vegas (I think)

I've been contacted far too many times recently by members with plans to open them. Only one has caught my eye, but the licenses are going to hit me hard.
Yes you do indeed need a license to legally do this however there are ways around it.
People with "business proposals/plans" are usually not too keen with the laws surrounding the business that they hope to run. Baffles me how ignorant and lacking of common sense some "businessmen" can be.
I don't middleman any deals on- or off-site. Please don't message me requesting my past services and certainly don't fall for anybody who claims to be me.
Anyone making a revenue stream large enough to attract taxation attention isn't going to be operating on HF in the first place. Those that do earn a decent amount will just launder the money anyway.

There's no incentive to go "legit" - licenses for gambling are hard to obtain, let alone on an international level.

Pointless thread IMO.
You're not getting extradited out of the US for running a BTC gambling site, ok

That's not how extradition works. It's ridiculous that you actually think the world works that way.

Drink all the booze, hack all the things.
