Just reset cmos on my pc. Now its running incredibly slow and inefficient? - Its nice to be nice - Sep 10, 2016

Need some help. My pc froze for a couple for a couple of seconds whilst playing league of legends. So my friend told me to clear cmos. Which I've done not my pc is incredibly slow and shittty. Getting visual tear on league of legends and I have a gtx titan.

pc specs ---

i7 3960x

16 corsair dominator ddr3

Asus rampage x79 extreme edition

h100i water cooler

unsure of voltage.

My pc is running shit compared to what it was. Is there anyway I can resolve this.

thanks for your time.

Are the problems only GPU related?
If so then it could be due to the fact that when you reset the CMOS the bios defaulted to onboard graphics rather than PCIe.

Extremely unlikely, if a dedicated GPU is detected, iGPU is disabled by default.

If your PC froze, it doesn't have anything to do with the cmos. Freezing occurs when your computer can't access vital resources that it needs to run. Can't read system files, inaccessible gpu, it would freeze for example.

Open cmd as admin and run sfc /scannow. This will check your system files for Windows. Report back if the scan detected errors or not. If so, it will state where the log is located in the prompt at the end. The log is extremely helpful to quickly diagnose the issue.
