My pc is running shit compared to what it was. Is there anyway I can resolve this.

thanks for your time.
Are the problems only GPU related?
If so then it could be due to the fact that when you reset the CMOS the bios defaulted to onboard graphics rather than PCIe.

Extremely unlikely, if a dedicated GPU is detected, iGPU is disabled by default.
Human stupidity : Buying something they have no clue about, and then ask if they wasted their money.

If your PC froze, it doesn't have anything to do with the cmos. Freezing occurs when your computer can't access vital resources that it needs to run. Can't read system files, inaccessible gpu, it would freeze for example.

Open cmd as admin and run sfc /scannow. This will check your system files for Windows. Report back if the scan detected errors or not. If so, it will state where the log is located in the prompt at the end. The log is extremely helpful to quickly diagnose the issue.
