Youtube Copyright Strike | Denied Counter Strike Notification Issue - funtela - Jan 2, 2017 So I've dealt with about five copyright strikes since I started my channel "Drop Zone" in 2016. I've always won and got my video back up and the strike removed because I always make sure that I am allowed to use the track before I post it or any remix/variation of the track. Last week I received a copyright strike take-down notice and I just did what I usually do. I went to https://www.youtube.com/music_policies just to double check. I saw the track was allowed to be used but it was blocked in hundreds of countries. This wasn't like that before. It wasn't blocked anywhere. Either way, if it was blocked, I'd still have the right to use it. It would just be muted in those countries. I didn't really care since that song was uploaded like 5 days before they took it down. Here is the song for those of you who want to check it out. https://soundcloud.com/trapmusichd/a-trappy-christmas-5 This is the email that they sent me: Code Hi Drop Zone:This is what I told them in the counter notification: Code According to Youtube's music policies, I'm allowed to use this song. I didn't even use the original song. It was a remix of the song. I thoroughly searched the YouTube Music Policies section & did not find anything about this song saying that I wasn't allowed to use it. I don't mind removing the video. The song is blocked in multiple countries, but a strike was not necessary since the song was still allowed to be used. And this was their reply: Code Dear Drop Zone,I believe that I am still right in this case. I'm not sure if to re-submit the counter. If someone with a lot of Youtube experience can help me out here or give me some advice that would be great :) * - Ytube - Jan 2, 2017 If you're partnered through a network, try and get in touch with them to see if they can help you. Or contact the person who issued the copyright takedown and politely explain what happened and they will hopefully retract the claim. * - FamousHater - Jan 2, 2017 "Keep in mind that copyright strikes expire after three months, as long as you complete Copyright School." where can u take that class at? lol * - funtela - Jan 2, 2017 (Jan 2, 2017 02:51 PM)FamousHater Wrote: "Keep in mind that copyright strikes expire after three months, as long as you complete Copyright School." It's a stupid little video they make you watch and then answer like 5 questions. I know all the questions from the amount of times I've had to do it last year lol. I'll message them but my network is Freedom (worst network ever). * - Katarina Du Couteau - Jan 2, 2017 Youtube is broken, and they are a bunch of faggots, like PP Support. Nothing you can do :( (Jan 2, 2017 02:52 PM)Rʏᴀɴ Rᴇʏɴᴏʟᴅs ❤️ Wrote: It's a stupid little video they make you watch and then answer like 5 questions. Networks won't do shit. All they say is 'There's nothing they can do.' I've got rid of my strikes by just contacting the company directly who striked me and asking to be put in contact with the correct person who deals with Youtube. Just do that and tell them you're sorry and are willing to remove the video and would also like the strike removed. I did that and they even let me keep the video up/ monetize it. I never even bothered disputing it through Youtubes system. * - FamousHater - Jan 2, 2017 (Jan 2, 2017 02:52 PM)Rʏᴀɴ Rᴇʏɴᴏʟᴅs ❤️ Wrote: It's a stupid little video they make you watch and then answer like 5 questions. You're better off going with Ad-sense they don't take more of your money like networks do. Only downfall is you need to make $100 before you can withdraw. * - testpen101 - Jan 2, 2017 Is that you? * - funtela - Jan 2, 2017 I just spoke to Andre (owner of The Nations) and he told me it's best to wait it out in this case. Since my channel is still kind of small, I can run the risk of Youtube being a dick and shutting me down. (Jan 2, 2017 02:56 PM)illuminatic Wrote: Is that you? It should automatically show up if you get a copyright strike and it's only a few basic questions you need to answer. lol (Jan 2, 2017 02:57 PM)Rʏᴀɴ Rᴇʏɴᴏʟᴅs ❤️ Wrote: I just spoke to Andre (owner of The Nations) and he told me it's best to wait it out in this case. When I got a copyright claim (not strike) I did the same thing and contacted the audio owner and he said it was fine for me to use his instrumental, so that would be the best option to wait it out. * - Yandere - Jan 2, 2017 (Jan 2, 2017 02:57 PM)Rʏᴀɴ Rᴇʏɴᴏʟᴅs ❤️ Wrote: I just spoke to Andre (owner of The Nations) and he told me it's best to wait it out in this case. Kanye West team striked me and were nice enough to remove it. Only took about 8 emails. * - funtela - Jan 2, 2017 (Jan 2, 2017 03:02 PM)Mercy. Wrote: (Trap Nation?)
