Question about a Sound Recorder - mrnapolean1 - Jan 4, 2017 When I used to use Windows 7, There used to be a utility called Sound Recorder. Is there any way I can get that (or something like that for free) on Windows 10? I cannot use the Windows store so It has to be an actual program. * - Gigabear - Jan 4, 2017 do you mean a voice recorder? ![]() comes with win10 by default I'm pretty sure * - webdev77 - Jan 4, 2017 (Jan 4, 2017 06:22 PM)Gigabear Wrote: do you mean a voice recorder? This is indeed the replacement for sound recorder. Otherwise, use Audacity for free recording. * - mrnapolean1 - Jan 5, 2017 (Jan 4, 2017 06:23 PM)webdev77 Wrote: This is indeed the replacement for sound recorder. Best of luck. * - mrnapolean1 - Jan 6, 2017 (Jan 5, 2017 04:12 PM)webdev77 Wrote: Sounds like you need to buy a new license for Windows then, but I'm sure Audacity will more than meet your basic recording needs. Best of luck. Windows is activated. Just cannot run the Windows store. Kept getting an error saying it could run this app or something along those lines. Had the same error with Photos, Music, Movies and TV, and Calculator. I got pissed off and fed up. I ended up running a PS Script to nuke all Windows 10 apps (not programs) from my system. That Includes the Windows Store. Ended up using this program to replace Calculator. Winaero doesn't have any Sound recording program I can download though. * - webdev77 - Jan 6, 2017 (Jan 6, 2017 08:55 AM)mrnapolean1 Wrote: Windows is activated. Just cannot run the Windows store. Did you try running this PS script to reinstall corrupt/missing apps? Code Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}* - mrnapolean1 - Jan 6, 2017 (Jan 6, 2017 10:35 AM)webdev77 Wrote: Did you try running this PS script to reinstall corrupt/missing apps? Already tried that. Still got the same error. * - Captain Steve Rogers - Jan 7, 2017 http://filehippo.com/download_free_sound_recorder/ https://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/ Both are nice. |
