Suggestion related to "View Self Posts" - Patrick Jane - Mar 7, 2017 I created a thread about this a year ago but closed it because I found a userscript for it but we don't use them anymore. https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5068043 Recently we got the feature implemented to view all of our posts on a certain thread and click on somebody's postcount in "Who Posted?" under "Thread Options". For those of you who don't know what that is: https://hackforums.net/misc.php?action=whoposted&tid=5567263 It shows you who posted in a thread and how many times. So I was thinking, in addition to that, we could add the "Who Posted?" feature inside the thread in "Thread Options" under or above "View Self Posts". Example: Spoiler (Click to View) I mean sure we could go back to the subforum and find the link there but if the thread is very old it could be difficult. Either way it would be a faster way to access the "Who Posted?" link if it already would be in the thread. Thanks for reading! * - Wires - Mar 7, 2017 It's literally a click away to go back to the forum, and another click to see who's posted. It took you more effort to create this thread than to view the who's posted feature. Probably will get denied. Laziness. * - Patrick Jane - Mar 7, 2017 (Mar 7, 2017 08:02 AM)Wires Wrote: It's literally a click away to go back to the forum, and another click to see who's posted. And I also pointed out that if the thread is infact old, it is not, just a click away. And that "effort" will save us so much more time in the long run. * - Skin - Mar 7, 2017 It looks like a matter of being lazy in my eyes. As Wires stated, it's clicks away, or a single search in case the thread is that old. * - Wires - Mar 7, 2017 (Mar 7, 2017 08:04 AM)Patrick Jane Wrote: Yes, and I even mentioned that. Anyhow, hold the back button on your browser and you can go back to that specific subforum page. * - Patrick Jane - Mar 7, 2017 (Mar 7, 2017 08:06 AM)Wires Wrote: IMO if you have the time to dig up an old thread, you have the time to go back and view who's posted. But stumbling upon an old thread doesn't mean you'd had to dug it up to find it, and then you wouldn't have access to who's posted as quickly. And then you could also argue that you can just go and find all of someone's posts in a thread. And there was a feature implemented for that. * - Nerdi - Mar 9, 2017 This seems like it could be useful. Considering it fits in with the new addition, it would make sense to be in Thread Options. * - Omniscient - Mar 10, 2017 Done thanks. |
