Is it considered socially acceptable to friend request current college classmates? - bdawn - Mar 10, 2017 So I'm taking a few classes at the moment and there are only a couple weeks until the quarter ends. I've done some group projects with some of my classmates and have gotten along with some of the people. They are pretty chill and I would like to keep in contact but its unlikely that we will ever have a class together again. Would it be considered fine friend requesting them on facebook now or should I just wait until the quarter ends? I prefer to not sound like a "creeper" or make it awkward if they decide not to accept my request but at the same time, I don't want to make myself look bad by waiting until the quarter ends and make it look like I am stalking them. What do you suggest I do? Note: There is only one or two guys I would friend request with everyone else in my group being girls 🤨 * - Kaleb - Mar 10, 2017 You're overthinking this homeboy. When I was still on Facebook basically everyone in my school just added each other regardless of if we even talked in real life lol. It's a social platform. go for it, if they think you're a creeper for adding them on facebook they're probably assholes anwyays * - bdawn - Mar 10, 2017 (Mar 10, 2017 04:31 PM)A e s t h e t i c s Wrote: You're overthinking this homeboy. I sometimes forget what is considered acceptable with my own age group xD * - Egregious Jr. - Mar 10, 2017 Who gives a shit. In my school people friend each other even if they don't know you IRL. * - Vibe - Mar 10, 2017 Just add them never know could be a great friendship * - DataExhauster - Mar 10, 2017 This happens to me quite often where we do peer review or I meet someone in class and just based off my first name the day after I receive a friend request from them. I chuckle a bit but its only facebook after all. As the second poster said you're overthinking it abit * - test - Mar 10, 2017 Sure - I think you are overthinking it too much. I have friends on Facebook that are people I have never even met before back when I used to add every single person that was recommended. Just add them, they won't think anything of it. * - Wompus - Mar 10, 2017 I'd see no problem in that, they're your classmates and it makes sense that you guys would be in contact... Sure if you don't talk to them normally it may be a bit awkward. People from my college, not even in the same class as me, send me friend requests. If you're lonely like me it's always nice to think that someone wants to atleast be connected with you ✌ * - Bluffer - Mar 10, 2017 It would be fine, I got people on Facebook that I went to middle school with >5 years ago with and didn't really talk to at the time. It's crazy watching people grow up. * - big dick rick - Mar 10, 2017 are you seriously debating whether or not to send a fucking friend request * - Godiva - Mar 10, 2017 (Mar 10, 2017 05:08 PM)big dick rick Wrote: are you seriously debating whether or not to send a fucking friend request I laughed so hard lol. Haha. * - AnonymousIII - Mar 10, 2017 I've found that when people I somewhat know from around campus add me, I don't think too much about how they found my profile. Probably just similar friends, that sort of thing. Just do it, it's not that big of a deal. * - bdawn - Mar 10, 2017 (Mar 10, 2017 05:08 PM)big dick rick Wrote: are you seriously debating whether or not to send a fucking friend request I think I'm going to shoot myself..with a nerf gun now 🤦♂😵👹 * - GG123 - Mar 10, 2017 Why not. My whole school practically has instagram, thats how you get to know everyone. * - bdawn - Mar 10, 2017 LOL! I totally just got denied xD Oh well, guess people aren't into being friends with classmates. |
