integrated graphics question - Ruins - Mar 25, 2017 My mate is building a PC (pre built) but he wants to order the Graphics card separately (to save money) So he has selected the default GPU (Integrated Graphics Intel) Would he be able to "Remove" as such the integrated graphics and use his GTX 1080 Ti as his default graphics? * - Gt403cyl - Mar 25, 2017 Damn, you got me confused right from the start.... Quote:My mate is building a PC (pre built) If a dedicated GPU is found during P.O.S.T the iGPU is disabled. It's physically part of the CPU so no you can't remove it. * - Ruins - Mar 25, 2017 (Mar 25, 2017 11:10 AM)Gt403cyl Wrote: Damn, you got me confused right from the start.... Sorry im a noob whats P.O.S.T? * - Gt403cyl - Mar 25, 2017 P.O.S.T. Power On Self Test. When you power on a PC it checks to see what hardware is connected and makes sure it's all functioning properly. |
