integrated graphics question

My mate is building a PC (pre built) but he wants to order the Graphics card separately (to save money) So he has selected the default GPU (Integrated Graphics Intel)

Would he be able to "Remove" as such the integrated graphics and use his GTX 1080 Ti as his default graphics?

If a dedicated GPU is found during P.O.S.T the iGPU is disabled.

It's physically part of the CPU so no you can't remove it.

P.O.S.T.
Power On Self Test.

When you power on a PC it checks to see what hardware is connected and makes sure it's all functioning properly.
