Konboot | Win10 | USB - thePoltergeist - Apr 23, 2017 Hello! I am having a few issues with kon boot and windows 10. It goes something like this: - I go into the BIOS, turn off secure boot - Boot to the USB with no issues - Konboot loads and and says successful, asks me to press enter to continue - I continue on and just before windows 10 loads I get a message saying Konboot has been unable to start. Anyone else experienced this? * - xfreedom - Apr 23, 2017 Yes I did, eventually I tried and tried again until it works out, I think it's windows 10 preboot antimalware or something like this since I saw a glimpse of a message. And since konboot doesn't work with live account, another possibility is to either activate the hidden admin by using the utilman.exe trick or by decrypting the SAM file. * - Trivexlium - Apr 23, 2017 Mine tells me it wont work with Microsoft accounts but I swore it did. I went with the "create admin user" option. Makes a user called kon-boot I think. * - thePoltergeist - Apr 23, 2017 (Apr 23, 2017 10:22 AM)xfreedom Wrote: Yes I did, eventually I tried and tried again until it works out, I think it's windows 10 preboot antimalware or something like this since I saw a glimpse of a message. That may be it! The account is a live account. How do you create an admin user? * - xfreedom - Apr 23, 2017 It's not because it's a live account though. Kon-boot can't bypass live accounts, but it should execute and ask for the creation of an admin instead. The fact that it stops during execution is jst a random bug I guess. As for the creation of an admin, you just need to google something like bypass windows logon utilman.exe or hidden admin utilman.exe and you should find a full tutorial. * - THC - Apr 23, 2017 I think this is an issue with Windows 10 compatibility. I think I heard something along the lines of legacy mode will help |
