Python send/receive whatsapp Android - ASiiMO - May 23, 2017 So what i was thinking, If i buy a second sim for my second phone and leave it on my desk. i send custom commands to it on whatsapp, and it send things like the weather back and/or does some action, like on my computer start a game or takes a sceeenshot and send it back. How would i go about this? I want it for free, and program it myself so i have max customizability. btw i got som free simcards * - szuszi2 - May 23, 2017 you could use a raspberry pi with a sim reader or an arduino, your choice. but i think it would be easier to make a small server on your pc and communicate over the internet with your phone. If you want to use the rpi/arduino then you also need them to communicate with your PC so: phone->arduino/rpi->PC * - Khamul - May 23, 2017 You could use this on a server or a rPi so you wouldn't need any additional hardware, just a phone number: https://github.com/tgalal/yowsup It's a python library for Whatsapp. * - Dialog - May 25, 2017 Whatsapp and third-party apps/bots don't get along very well. Unless you really need Whatsapp, I'd look into other applications like Facebook Messenger, Telegram, Slack etc. * - ASiiMO - May 27, 2017 Thx for the telegram suggestion! atm its working out pretty good |
