Looking to get back into reading, any recommended books? - eComrade - Jul 26, 2017

I would first like to point out I don't read anything other than self help books like How to Win Friends and Influence People. Please recommend book(s) and a couple sentences to a paragraph describing why you chose to recommend me it. Thanks!

Read the Camp X series by Eric Walters. Really great series.

Divergent series

Harry Potter ( you probably have already read these... who hasn't! )

Yee self help books are only so fun, they get somewhat dry after a few days. Rich Dad, Poor Dad is self help and good.

I highly recommend you get the book the magic of believing, it's a self-help and it's easy to get into. This book has honestly helped me in ways you can't believe. since reading it I've started 2 companies and I am now a part owner of three companies. Im not trying to sell you on the book because it's only two bucks but definitely worth it

If you enjoyed reading How to Win Friends and Influence People you will really enjoy reading The Like Switch: An Ex-FBI Agent’s Guide to Influencing, Attracting, and Winning People Over.
Builds off it nicely with even more ways to influence and attract people. The author offers example conversations to make understanding even more easier.

For emotional or mental self-books, one that is well regarded is The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment. Extremely philosophical, was very hard for me to understand. As the title suggests it talks about simply living in the now.

A book that I enjoyed was A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy. A primer to stoicism, after reading and applying their principles you feel more in tune with your emotions and view of life. After reading this book I never got frustrated/disappointed again for anything.

There some other books but I feel like these made the biggest impression on me.

The 48 hour work week is a good read.

It's not a self help book, but nor is it fiction. Check out the works of Plato. The book's huge, but well worth the read to gather an enlightened understanding of society from one of the most prominent pioneers.

The Alchemist is a good one.

Do you mean the Four Hour Work Week by Tim Ferris?
If not, I highly recommend it.
