Before I start this thread I would like to give some shoutouts.
Makaveli The Don: Ape, you have given me the opportunities of a lifetime and I respect you loads for that. Thank you so much for giving me those opportunities. Influence has grown tremendously, and it will keep growing. The same goes for Harmony and Consensus. You are a friend, someone I trust. Thank you.
'Fox: Man.. You are one weird ass Fox, but very likeable :). Thank you for trusting me with leadership to your groups. I now offer you one baked potato with butter and bacon, wrapped in Burberry scarfs, enough for friendship?
Lukas: Man you are one hell of a guy, I can't believe you are still in the group.. jk. You have done great work and you are a great guy, thanks for being there.
Aggron: Dutch cunt, love you.
Eagle 95: Normally our PM's start off very serious and end up being absolute bullshittery. I like it. Keep up the great work my man.
Menacing: You have proven to me that you are dedicated to work for the things you get. Keep it up Stralian cunt <3
I was planning on making a thread when I hit my 5 years on Hackforums but I decided to do it when I hit 5k posts just because why not.
I will briefly go over some of the subforums and the changes Hackforums has gone through.
Some of the changes that I think made a big difference/are going to make a big difference:
Notifications - Omniscient
When Omni released the thread where he announced that one day he will add notifications I was very stoked and so were many other members. I think it's a great step forward when it comes to the future of Hackforums.
Profile Policy Changes - Omniscient
Some Policy changes that were being discussed around the forum for a while, mainly the IP grabbers in signatures and profile pictures.
Post to PM - Omniscient
After a long time of Post to PM being prohibited it has been allowed again, and I think it's a great thing. I personally think it will keep more leechers off the forum because they need a specific amount of posts to PM someone.
RKO Done - Omniscient
This changed has gotten me the most. I personally feel that this change is.. alright, but it has taken away something. I always felt like the RKO was a way of Omni punishing people but still allowing them to roam around the forum. Now that it's removed a lot of members get a 1-year ban. It's definitely not a bad change, it was just weird to get used to haha.
[Release] HFX: Native Web Extension for Hack Forums [Chrome/FF] - xadamxk
I have been using Emylbus' extensions for ages and it sadly became outdated. Now xadamxk brought out his version. It's a great version and maybe not really a change to Hackforums itself but it "modifies" hackforums in a way it's more pleasant to browse it. :)
Some of the things from the past that I would love to see come back:
1 thing that I would love to see come back to Hackforums, and I have been saying it for a good 1+ years now, the VIP section.
The VIP section used to be a clusterfuck when it came to the rules in the sub, people ignored them and felt like the VIP section didn't need/have any rules.
I think that bringing it back would give the forum something and somewhere for UB3R (Maybe R3KT?) members to hang around in. Rules changed over time and so did the people on the forum. I doubt that it will be a clusterfuck again if we just follow the rules in it from the beginning.
Besides that, the GFX of the month recently came back but sadly I read somewhere that it has already been shut down again. I would love to see it go for a while to give more members the opportunity to gain the amazing award and show the community their skills.
The groups:
I won't write something about every group since I haven't been in them all, I will mainly focus on the ones I lead and the ones I have been in.
Influence:
Around 3 months ago I applied to join the group Influence, It seemed like a group with members that were eager to learn and share their knowledge. The group was still in its beginning stages and I tried to help around as much as I could. After a short while Makaveli The Don asked me if I was interested in becoming an Assistant leader to help around managing the group. Of course, I was very interested and told him I would love to do it. After the group got rolling everything went smooth and we noticed that members were able to stay active and do work but still enjoy hanging around in our lounges. Eventually, I was promoted to Deputy leader which meant that I got my leadership role on Hackforums. Since, big changes to Influence were made and things have changed around for the better.
Harmony:
I was very recently added as a leader of Harmony. It seems like a great group with an amazing assortment of members in it. Everyone treats each other with respect which is nice to see. Makaveli The Don and I will change around Harmony and make sure the community becomes active again and will enjoy their stay in Harmony.
Red Lions:
Red Lions used to be a group that worked with honour and protected Hackforums and its members from harm by informing them in a timely manner about certain situations. Since that has changed a lot. I used to be in Red Lions for about 2 years and the group was very active and we did a lot of work around the forum that not many people notice. I once swore to them that I won't leak or tell anything about what goes on inside the group so I will not, but the members in it were great and had a lot of dignity. Even though my depart from Red Lions wasn't as I wish it was, it was still a great time and I enjoyed it loads. Sadly the group has died out again since but I heard that they will be coming back again very soon.
Some of the subforums that could be revamped or removed (My opinion):
Before everyone goes ballistic, I am aware that my opinion doesn't mean shit, but I still wanted to include it. :)

I really appreciate all the work that you do for the forum and all the action you have taken against the people that try to bring the forum down. I feel like you are always online, hmmm. Would you mind elaborating on the VIP section a bit? It was around for a while back in the day but I never actively used myself. What sort of threads would be posted in this section?
Would it just be a lounge for upgraded users (UB3R & R3KT members)?

Eagle is honestly the best staff member even tho he hits me with the most warning points I deserve them but whenever I feel they are unjust he lays his nuts on my face and explains why which helps unlike others

After a while, people started breaking the rules by posting threads that were not allowed and mainly requesting Netflix.

Nope, that was rep whore area. You had ub3r forums along with subforums, l33t general forums, "premium" methods aka leeched from other forums, and bragging rights. Yes Bragging Rights forum was in the VIP Area.
Main ub3r forums were filled with threads Oh I'm ub3r finally, like every other day. Its subforums - one for giving away free shit and one for requesting free shit were the lowest quality forums in the entire forum, wise move from Omni's end to remove it, but on the other hand, you could pull up almost anything from there lol.

One great feedback thread, neat and easy to read. Some of the sections you listed seem to be a bit dead, so a bit of revamp could help them out.
Fully agree on the Eagle 95 thing, not only a great staff member, but probably one of the nicest and more mature people I've talked with on this forum.
