I had to double check this wasn't in the MSM section. Not sure about number 5? I know a few good ideas for like mining stats or crypto portfolios for image rotation but ip grabber?
Like what if I make a thread, close it let it die with my IP resolving signature then don't enable my new sig in all my posts - then I can link anyone that thread and grab their IP.
Holy shit... HF news going to have a lot this week. Nice change... now I'm waiting for the Trump sigs/avatars to pop up.

These are amazing changes. I'm happy to see many changes coming to HF recently with the new sub-forums and rule removals.

I mean it's not a huge problem if you protect yourself and I mean nobody really will ddos people these days just really bad/mad kids. As far as database entries, that might be a concern.
Consider these rule changes a sign that I'm too tired of enforcing these ancient policies. I feel like my vision for this site was achieved and I took it as far as I could. I think HF needs me to change my vision and reinvent this place. I want this place to be different and the only way that happens if I start making serious changes from the ground up.

That was just part of the rule which was removed. Unsure I need to add it because fact-is, you can always add a hidden IP grabber anyways that no one would notice. You can do it on your avatar, signature, or a post. The rule never actually stopped anyone from using one that wanted to do so.
