Something I’ve read a little about but it doesn’t really seem easy or doable on a small scale ?
It would be interesting to read more about it than the whitewashed hyped cnn version though

RE: ss7 attack - proofable - Apr 10, 2018

Thanks, i will look at DWC.

Someone replied saying "is ss7 still being used" that gives me the impression there is other easier ways. What would be the best way to get the location of a phone

You need an RTL-SDR dongle also or go big and buy a hackerone or whatever else you want.

As for tutorials you won't find much, it's not an everyday just let's pull out the toolbox and get to work just like yesterday. You need an understanding of networking and how mobile networks work. If you don't have an understanding then all these tools all the money you spend on a device for those radio frequencies is for not, you'd be better off taking the money contacting who ever paying them to buy the account or whatever.

First can you describe your environment? For example the sdr dongle involved, software used to scan and analyze.

SCTP is a protocol to move ss7 data over TCP/IP, I suggest you read up on RFC 4166. From what I read it works as such

| Telephony Signalling Protocol | --> | User Adaptation Layers | --> |Stream Control Transmission Protocol| --> | (SCTP) | --> | | Internet Protocol (IPv4/IPv6) |

Does diapazons mean range, if so perhaps you are putting the range incorrectly. It'd help if you put the commands and roughly what your lab looks like.
