Do I need to install Service Pack 1 & 2 before I can install Windows 7? - moofiee - Aug 3, 2010 I have windows vista installed and I don't either of the service packs, do I need to download & install them before I try to install Windows 7? Also doe's anyone have a link for windows 7 ultimate that works? Preferably a torrent. And which is the best type of cd/DVD to put .ISO's on (like windows 7)? * - InuyashaITB - Aug 3, 2010 uh you can just install windows 7 directly if you want to doesnt really matter lol... honestly... take a look at btjunkie.org they have good torrents * - -mothered- - Aug 3, 2010 You don't need any Service Packs to Install the Windows 7 o/s. At this stage, SP1 for Windows 7 Is In the Beta stage. I do recommend a clean format and Install the latest drivers via the Manucturer's website afterwards. Here's a Torrent download for Windows 7 Ultimate, In both the x86 and 64 Bit architectures: http://www.h33t.com/details.php?id=961a036cb6993e89cc209426d6205b0a2e54ed3a&hl=%2Bwindows+%2B7 If you require activation, use the new Windows Loader v1.9 by Daz here: http://www.h33t.com/details.php?id=0f8eb98772f56c44826ee81cfe5d972c1a97e948&hl=%2Bwindows+%2Bloader * - CeilingCat - Aug 3, 2010 (Aug 3, 2010 08:24 PM)mothered Wrote: You don't need any Service Packs to Install the Windows 7 o/s. You don't need to install those SP's, you can just do a fresh install, which is recommended. * - Scary Dreams - Aug 3, 2010 No you do not have to install any Service Pack. You can just upgrade :] Have Fun.. but I like my Windows XP :] * - moofiee - Aug 4, 2010 (Aug 3, 2010 08:24 PM)mothered Wrote: You don't need any Service Packs to Install the Windows 7 o/s. Or will any kind do? * - -mothered- - Aug 4, 2010 (Aug 4, 2010 01:19 AM)moofiee Wrote: Thanks for the links, downloading now. You're most welcome mate. As long as the DVD can hold the capacity of the file (which In this case It can), you can use any single layer disc, being 4.7GB In the DVD-R or DVD+R/RW formats. Now because the file Is In Iso format, burn It as Is and boot from it. I recommend you use this freeware burning tool: http://imgburn.en.softonic.com/ * - moofiee - Aug 4, 2010 Ah, I already have Imgburn, will use it when it. Thanks for your help. * - Ice_Coolâ„¢ - Aug 6, 2010 yes, just need to instal windows, dont need service pack's ":) |
