[Suggestion] Show "x users browsing this forum" instead of using names - Jerry Smith - Sep 13, 2018
Maybe it's a privacy issue to name who's viewing what forum and such. But maybe it could display how many users are viewing each forum/section/thread.
What do you guys think? š¤

I believe this is already an option.
Click on User CP -> Under "Your Profile" click on "Edit Options"
The first checkbox on the page says "Hide me from the Who's Online list." I think that's what its supposed to do.

does that apply to who's browsing each forum or specific to a profile.

Yeah, I meant how you can't see who's viewing a specific thread/forum. I think it should display at least how many users are viewing a forum, instead of the previous method of displaying who's all viewing it. That way we can at least tell how active a certain thread/forum is.

It was never a privacy issue.
