Thinking of making a youtube background app. - mycatisadog - Nov 10, 2018 I wanna make an app that can play youtube on the background without any kind of root access, as an apk. But since the app store is not letting people do that I'd have to sell it as an apk, do you think I can sell it to people in the apk form? Would people buy it? If so for how much? Free app called YouTube Vanced RE: Thinking of making a youtube background app. - mycatisadog - Nov 12, 2018 (Nov 12, 2018 07:18 AM)Cemo Wrote: Already exists. It literally is forbidden to make an app like that in the play store tho RE: Thinking of making a youtube background app. - Axe - Nov 12, 2018 (Nov 12, 2018 10:46 AM)mycatisadog Wrote: It literally is forbidden to make an app like that in the play store tho Yes, you have to download an apk. My point still stands, it would be redundant for you to make a paid YouTube apk RE: Thinking of making a youtube background app. - mycatisadog - Nov 12, 2018 (Nov 12, 2018 11:16 AM)Cemo Wrote: Yes, you have to download an apk. Hmm, is it open source tho, it may be just sending private information about the user to a server to be sold later since it is free. You can read about it on XDA or check the website at https://vanced.app RE: Thinking of making a youtube background app. - SIM-82498 - Nov 12, 2018 (Nov 12, 2018 03:02 PM)mycatisadog Wrote: Hmm, is it open source tho, it may be just sending private information about the user to a server to be sold later since it is free. How are we so sure you won't do that? Also, for an app of this nature, I don't think people will pay for it. There are many alternatives out there. RE: Thinking of making a youtube background app. - DrDoof - Nov 12, 2018 Too many alternatives, come up with something else RE: Thinking of making a youtube background app. - realsunjester - Nov 12, 2018 This is a waste of time, there are plenty of apps like this already. I believe I made one (android native, java) last year when a friend of mine was bragging about his "youtube red" lol. anyway, check some github repos before you start, https://github.com/search?q=youtube+background RE: Thinking of making a youtube background app. - mycatisadog - Nov 12, 2018 (Nov 12, 2018 04:00 PM)Dervie Wrote: How are we so sure you won't do that? People would more than likely trust Github instead of having to give up security on their phone/device for your closed source app. RE: Thinking of making a youtube background app. - mycatisadog - Nov 12, 2018 (Nov 12, 2018 04:18 PM)realsunjester Wrote: tl;dr/ you will not be successful with this app. Can't you people read? I literally said OPEN SOURCE and mate it italic and bold at the same time, what else I need to do to make you understand it was gonna be open source?
