Well, I wanted a calm nature vibe, as the river flowing calmly. It's calm, but it has to be.
But I agree, working on the text to make things more exciting could help a bit!

I like the background but I dont really feel the text. I think you could improve your text design/font.

I feel like a better font would be something thin and round/curvy/flowy. Besides the font it looks great.

The number of threads that you are posting does not reflect the amount of effort you are putting into this work.
Let's be honest here, I understand you may be a beginner in design, but where is the quality in this work? this looks far too generic and the text looks ridiculously boring.
You could do things more than just grabbing a background image and just throwing text over it.
Try animating the text, try blending it with the background, try fading the text into the oceans with animation etc...look at inspiration work and start from there.
If you do not try to do things differently at all nor actually spend time putting in effort in what you do, then how will you improve here?

No doubt, this is my beginner stage, and I agree I'm keeping things simple. Once I get more experience expect new stuff from me.
