Someone got my ip on discord beacuse he had my discord tag - Mersad04 - Jan 25, 2019
I was playing videogames and a random boy joins our discord and starts talking about ddos and that other shit I know how to ddos but he was talking so much shit and my friend told him to stop talking and the guy just took his discord tag and had his information like photo and his ip and started ddosing him he even changed his discord photo to my friends profile photo my question is how can he do that and can I protect my self from that?

Are you sure he got your IP address from your Discord? Maybe you posted your discord on another forum, he got your username & found more information about you, including your IP address.

100% my friend doesn't even play that game so often and his facebook got leaked and I also didn't play al lot on that game

there is no public vulnerability in dc to do so and since discord doesnt connect peer2peer i highly doubt he exploited discord to archieve this. im pretty sure that the dude used some other way of information gathering and stumbled on some informations about ur friend. i highly doubt that some shit talking ddos kiddy got any advanced hacking skills and im pretty sure that the guy knew ur friend in someway since it wouldnt make sense to approach a random person and start talking bs
but on the other hand maybe the game had some kind of ip leak?

Only way you can get an IP through Discord is to do with web architecture, I don't know much I just had a mate show me how it works.

You either clicked a link or he found your IP somewhere else that was associated with you discord account. There is no "reverse ip lookup" for discord usernames.

View the person ip but you have to be in a chat or a call with them its VERY SPOOKY i ask the dude that created the tool about it
but he said he could't say much but it costs £150 as of today

What a strange question, making an interface for some logic isn't really the issue. There have been several methods in the past, but there is no public one right now as far as I know. I have a vague memory that Mr. Robot had one some year ago if I'm not mistaking

I know for a fact that some people have an exploit to read messages and pull verification number on the account (Discord forces you to enter it, then saves it since they're a data mining scam).
Discord isn't safe, I would consider moving to another platform where the staff and security team aren't corrupt and don't say that exploits are "impossible".
