I was playing videogames and a random boy joins our discord and starts talking about ddos and that other shit I know how to ddos but he was talking so much shit and my friend told him to stop talking and the guy just took his discord tag and had his information like photo and his ip and started ddosing him he even changed his discord photo to my friends profile photo my question is how can he do that and can I protect my self from that?

Only way you can get an IP through Discord is to do with web architecture, I don't know much I just had a mate show me how it works.

You either clicked a link or he found your IP somewhere else that was associated with you discord account. There is no "reverse ip lookup" for discord usernames.

I know for a fact that some people have an exploit to read messages and pull verification number on the account (Discord forces you to enter it, then saves it since they're a data mining scam).
Discord isn't safe, I would consider moving to another platform where the staff and security team aren't corrupt and don't say that exploits are "impossible". |
