Lost My Work Key Today - Demoralise - Feb 16, 2019
And I'm still on the 90 day trial period. I really need this job because my family is really struggling after my dad lost his job but I am terrified that I will get fired after telling them. I'm not sure what I can do to relieve my nerves. I've checked and cleaned the entire house

Seriously, as a security guard, I dont give one flying fuck if you lost your access card or not, I DO care if it get used by someone OTHER THAN YOU to gain unauthorized entry however.
- I am going to bitch a hell of a lot more over that condition rather than cutting you a new card...
Secondary point:
- Scared or not, any employer, or people in general appreciate when you can man up and take accountability for your actions, especially when you fuck up.
"Yea, I screwed up, and heres how I plan to ensure it will never happen again"
Goes 100000x better than "Oh well it broke, not my fault"

I would be genuinely surprised if you lost your job because of this. We're all human beings and these things happen. Just be straightforward with your employers and make it clear that it won't happen again.

It should be ok as long as you inform them quickly or the same day.
It's a bit embarrassing already, can feel OP so much lol.
Also the only reason you would get fired if your manager/ceo is just extremely crazy or you did something wrong and he already hates you so much, you may want to say you are able to pay for new keys in the store or some shit.

Same, have the same issue but I think many people do.
The only reason he might get fired is if he just don't work, do shit and still taking breaks.
