Yagi Tripod Antenna, 100MW Amp & AWUS036H - TxRx - Apr 23, 2019

Hey guys, I wanted to show you my custom antenna hoping it could give anyone who is looking to make something like this some ideas here's what I used for it:

- cheap aluminum adjustable 60" tripod (any cheap DSLR one will do. Make sure it has a threaded hole to mount the camera)

- Hyperlink HG2415Y 14.5 dbi yagi antenna

- Lens Tripod Collar Mount Ring for Nikon AF-S 80-200mm f/2.8D

- Hyperlink HA2401-AGC100C 100mw Amp

- Coaxial pigtails N Male to N Male (x2)

- Coaxial pigtail N Male to RP-SMA Female

- Alfa AWUS036H
Optional

- Green Laser (for pointing signal direction) :p

It perfoms amazingly, especially for recon, sniffing and attacks, considering im in a "closed quarters" enviroment. I havent tested it on a "free line of sight" scenario. To get a mount that would fit the yagi, I had to measure the diameter and compare it to camera mounts and the diameter of their lens. I found the Nikon one to be an almost perfect fit, the missing 2mm of space i just filled it up with bubble wrap which also protects the antenna housing from scratching with the mount.

Here's a scan on airodump using the AWUS036H without the amp, just the yagi and the alfa in monitor mode

Here's another scan with the AWUS036H using the amp

if the FBI ever kicks your door in they'll be happy to see that lmao and you'll have to explain what it is to them :/

those pre-amps really just increase the noise.. yeah looks good on signal but the quality of signal hasn't changed

I dont really use the amp when browsing, only for attacking with reaver and yeah, ive noticed it gives me lag sometimes when downloading files using the amp. I switch between my AWUS036H w/amp when im attacking or my tp link WN722N when im browsing.

I've had a lot of success with the amp when using reaver. I noticed before, i used to get a lot of timeout errors. So far i've cracked 16 networks lol. I still have some ralink/realtek routers around vulnerable to pixiewps.

those myspectrum would be a good start

just wondering how far is the scope for that setup?
this is just so pretty <333

Damn didn't know people still used WPA in 2019.

Funny thing is, his password was sooooo weak lol. It was "pokemon150"

He's using a WRT54G lol

Well, i havent been able to test it in a "no obstructions" scenario. I got it pointing out from a window, which on the front has a bunch of trees and on the other side is where the next apartment building is, so i'd say it gets about a mile with obstructions, pretty steady signal considering all that has to go through. I use the amp when sniffing and running reaver to give it a boost

I recently got a raspberry pi and prepped it with kali pi, so pretty soon i'll do some "surveying" around where i live and see how far the yagi reach lol

mines was alfa awus036nh and a 3d printed biquadyagi found on thingiverse, and its good around 100meters with tress and some walls but have a line of sight
