Facebook is asking for my phone number. - Dryer_Lint - Sep 1, 2019 Facebook says that it's "noticed some suspicious activity on my account" and is asking me to enter my phone number so it can text me a confirmation code that I can enter. I do not put my phone # on the internet for privacy concerns. Is there any (legal) way of circumventing this? RE: Facebook is asking for my phone number. - James Burnham - Sep 1, 2019 You can use a phone verification service to bypass that. RE: Facebook is asking for my phone number. - debian - Sep 1, 2019 The best way is to quit facebook. If you want to have any "privacy concerns", you shouldn't be on facebook in the first place RE: Facebook is asking for my phone number. - Zan - Sep 1, 2019 (Sep 1, 2019 08:00 PM)Dryer_Lint Wrote: Facebook says that it's "noticed some suspicious activity on my account" and is asking me to enter my phone number so it can text me a confirmation code that I can enter. RE: Facebook is asking for my phone number. - Dead Presidents - Sep 2, 2019 Usually after verifying phone it asks for ID. I would just start a new account at that point. If you want to have any "privacy concerns", you shouldn't be on facebook in the first place I second these wise words. I on the other hand don't care much to put my info online. RE: Facebook is asking for my phone number. - Phorus - Sep 2, 2019 If you have serious privacy concerns, delete your account. Facebook isn't the best place to be on if you care about privacy imo. Also you can use those alt numbers that apps give you. Although I'm not sure if it will work because some websites have filters. Depends if the numbers are obtained legally. RE: Facebook is asking for my phone number. - Dead Presidents - Sep 3, 2019 SMS verification services are legal. SMSPVA.com has good and cheap numbers you can use. RE: Facebook is asking for my phone number. - Dryer_Lint - Sep 5, 2019 Is there any FREE sms verification service? I don't own a credit card. RE: Facebook is asking for my phone number. - Pluxo - Sep 5, 2019 You can use your phone number or use an SMS service. Note though that it may set your phone number that you put in your settings and you will receive verification texts to be able to access your account. Anytime I use a computer elsewhere it wants to text me. RE: Facebook is asking for my phone number. - seri0us - Sep 5, 2019 (Sep 1, 2019 09:43 PM)debian Wrote: The best way is to quit facebook.
