Sobriety finally feels good again. - WaIter White - Jan 14, 2020 So a little background is in order I guess. My mother passed away 1 year and 9 days ago, on 1-5-19. Since then I've been abusing RC cathinones, benzos, DXM, and eventually, I started using crystal meth in the early autumn. Believe me, don't believe me, whatever. Anyway, I have been depressed and antisocial as shit pretty much since I can remember and the drugs just blocked those feelings out but also my memory of my true self, and I was lost for a long time. Recently I got a job, one that forces me to socially interact with people and keep a smile and a positive, carefree attitude. Door knocking (for new prospects) for this lawn care company. Today was day one and I can't count on the assumption that it only gets better from here but I know the only way now is uphill and I am just grateful for the opportunities provided for me now, and I feel like this job will bring me to a higher level of accepting and actualizing myself. I know this sort of community doesn't have a large density of drug (ab)users, but if you are struggling with any form of addiction and/or depression, anxiety, anything; my DMs are always open and we can share experiences and I wouldn't mind an accountability partner. Thanks for reading.
