Sobriety finally feels good again.

So a little background is in order I guess.

My mother passed away 1 year and 9 days ago, on 1-5-19. Since then I've been abusing RC cathinones, benzos, DXM, and eventually, I started using crystal meth in the early autumn. Believe me, don't believe me, whatever. Anyway, I have been depressed and antisocial as shit pretty much since I can remember and the drugs just blocked those feelings out but also my memory of my true self, and I was lost for a long time.

Recently I got a job, one that forces me to socially interact with people and keep a smile and a positive, carefree attitude. Door knocking (for new prospects) for this lawn care company. Today was day one and I can't count on the assumption that it only gets better from here but I know the only way now is uphill and I am just grateful for the opportunities provided for me now, and I feel like this job will bring me to a higher level of accepting and actualizing myself.

I know this sort of community doesn't have a large density of drug (ab)users, but if you are struggling with any form of addiction and/or depression, anxiety, anything; my DMs are always open and we can share experiences and I wouldn't mind an accountability partner.

Thanks for reading.
takes a lot of willpower to to give up your addiction, can't imagine what you've been through
losing someone close to you cuts deep, lost my aunt not too long ago to cancer

if you ever need to talk about anything feel free to message me
