Do you use special goggles when you using PC/Laptop? - Linux X - Feb 17, 2020

Do you use special goggles when you using PC/Laptop? I'm thinking to buy googles which reduce the blue light because I spend almost 8h every day on PC.

I saw an article, that this blue light stuff is not as bad as they told us. For example here is one (not what I saw, but it writes similar): https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/will-blue-light-from-electronic-devices-increase-my-risk-of-macular-degeneration-and-blindness-2019040816365

Still don't know is is really bad or not. I don't use googles at all, but I watch screens for 20+ years.
But if you keep my advice: try to keep breaks, and when you are on a break try to look for longer distances for a while. That usually helps me. And if your eyes dry easily try to use eye drops.

I use nothing. I have glasses. I'm 10hours on my PC at work + a lot on my free time + on my phone.
Just did an eye test a few weeks ago after about 1~2 years without a test. My number reduced. What is life?

No and yes. I wear glasses and they have that anti blue light layering

No, my monitor has less blue light and options to make it perfect for the eyes whenever I need to change the display.

I don't buy in the future I will probably get myself a pair of such goggles. Better be safe than sorry.

I've see the like gaming goggles (gunnars I think?) but havent really gotten the itch to try them. I spend a lot of time of the computer but my glasses dont actually have the anti blue-light thing. Does anyone know if its actually worth doing it? I do look at screens a lot and I guess if it helps my eyes there may not be any reason not to? Ive also wondered if it screws up the color accuracy of the image at all.

Well I read a lot of articles about this blue light, and most of them are telling to get this kind of goggles. I really have trouble when I go to sleep.

Would goggles protect that much?
If yes, I might buy a pair as well.

You're supposed to avoid screens in general 1 hour prior to bed. No Google's or normie phone blue light filter is going to help you.
