Live streams buffering for me while working fine for others? - Drizzled - May 14, 2020

This is probably a stupid question but I don't know anything about networking/ISPs so I thought I'd ask here.

I have gigabit internet and my speedtest usually hits 950+Mbps but I still have problems with live streams. Last weekend I was trying to watch a UFC livestream that I paid for and it was buffering for 2-3 seconds every 10 seconds. My friend with worse internet was watching with 0 buffering at the same quality (1080p).

Is there anything I can do to fix this? I tried swapping ethernet cables but it didn't do anything...

maybe try the TCP/IP optimizer from Majorgeeks/SpeedGuide.

why did you buy a stream?

vipleague.lc or ripple.is/mma for all UFC events. period. and have poper blocker extension and also ublock origin to get rid of the ads.

update ethernet driver if you can. optimize the advanced settings of it too?

i really hate when it buffers during ufc main event streams. best thing you can do is have your ethernet in tho.

i also suggest to use Complete Internet Repair and like completely reset your internet settings and then do the tcp/ip optimizer. you will have to run it as admin btw cuz it tweaks the registry settings.

also check if you can do the QoS registry speed tweak where you set it to 0% instead of the 20% default.

check also your power options. put that bitch on ultimate performance.
