New flu strain with "pandemic potential" found in China. - Dragon_One - Jun 30, 2020 A new flu strain with "pandemic potential" has been found in pigs in China. What are the statistical odds of TWO pandemics starting in the same country and both occurring in less than one year? I'm starting to think that maybe this isn't happening naturally. https://www.bbc.com/news/health-53218704 RE: New flu strain with "pandemic potential" found in China. - Hackt00lz - Jun 30, 2020 (Jun 30, 2020 01:46 AM)Dragon_One Wrote: A new flu strain with "pandemic potential" has been found in pigs in China. i'm pretty sure all these things are done intentionally... RE: New flu strain with "pandemic potential" found in China. - Sterling Malory Archer - Jun 30, 2020 Not surprised. Now the only thing that is left to be seen, a nuclear war. 🤦♂️ RE: New flu strain with "pandemic potential" found in China. - Dragon_One - Jun 30, 2020 (Jun 30, 2020 01:54 AM)Hackt00lz Wrote: i'm pretty sure all these things are done intentionally... It takes literally hundreds of years for viruses to mutate to be able to infect different species. RE: New flu strain with "pandemic potential" found in China. - Xerotic - Jun 30, 2020 If you took the population of China and subtracted the population of the United States, China would still have over a billion people. They are just that heavily populated. Increased population density increases the chances of an epidemic. That being said... I'd never rule out what any government is capable of. I would not be surprised if most major governments weren't experimenting with stuff like this in some capacity. I am not a scientist, and biology is not my field, if i may ask, since you said it takes hundreds of years for a virus to mutate, does it mean corona virus has been in existence for hundreds of years? Bats are natural carriers of Corona viruses. So they are evolving together for a very long time. It is just that some idiot had a VERY LUCKY bat-soup somewhere and that sunk the world now. Yeah we’re talking about an extremely over populated country that just recently took digs of list of farmable animals. Trying to feed that many people is going to be hard to keep sanitary RE: New flu strain with "pandemic potential" found in China. - Stepdad - Jun 30, 2020 Jesus Christ, it just never ends.
