Django CNC? - Dexie - Aug 18, 2020

Just wondering if anyone has experimented with this, instead of using PHP for a CNC, I've started to look into it recently. If someone has, how is the stability compared to PHP?

I've used both flask and django and they are easier to write and more stable in my opinion.

I think the main reason that php is used for a lot of cnc servers is because it's normally installed by default. So it makes it a bit more portable as opposed to being technically superior.

I've started using Django just not sure how well it would handle a large number of connections.

That's true, I mean it's not really hard to install Python onto a server, so I'm mainly just looking for what would be more stable in the long run.

I prefer Django over Flask, I am more experienced in it. I'm definitely going to have to do more research into the stability, cos most of the people I've asked have said use PHP over Python.

Stability depends more on the underlying webserver and not on the framework.
I prefer flask.

Thanks for the response, I've only heard people say that so I'm just going by word of mouth, I've never really had an issue using PHP as the CNC.

flask / django are decent options. you could also use the built in python http server (python3 http.server). Basic http C2 dev is fairly simple with python and there aren't many drawbacks to using python as a c2 server.

so is python, almost any Linux server will have both python and PHP installed.
