the IRS is extremely annoying - Spiritual - Oct 5, 2020 They sent me a letter to verify my identity because I moved states not a big deal. I go to the website to verify and it won't take any of my information i get all the way to the "Auto Loan Acc#" and the acc# I give them is apparently not correct even though it's on my credit report and the acc number the lender gave me. I then get locked out of it every 24 hours since I keep trying other stuff. I try calling and they say "High call volume we're unable to take your call" and of course they no longer do walk ins so basically near impossible to verify. Has anyone else had to deal with this if so what did you end up doing I've seen a few posts on reddit saying they just processed their return without them doing anything because they had the same issue I'm having. RE: the IRS is extremely annoying - YikesAu - Oct 5, 2020 Get in touch by phone somehow would be your best bet and probably the only bet. Something could be wrong with the account so you are going to need to talk to someone for sure. Nothings wrong I just moved and they need to verify that I'm me basically I understand why I have to go through the process but it's just annoying the website doesn't work and they have too high of a call volume to answer. I'm gonna try again in a few hours right when they open to see if I get any luck (Oct 5, 2020 06:17 PM)Snyke Wrote: Your IRS account may be compromised. It's not it's i moved states and it said on the site this happens sometimes when you move. It's just an annoying process. No I have to verify my identity so they require any of these to prove i'm me cc (Don't have) Auto loan (I have but doesn't show up in their records ) Home loan (Don't have) Personal loan (Don't have) and since none of that works even though i provided the correct information I have to call but I can't call because 99% of the time the call volume is too high and they don't accept calls. I don't really care about my return or any of that I'm just trying to get my fasfa stuff situated so it's not a pain later on. RE: the IRS is extremely annoying - YikesAu - Oct 6, 2020 ahh fair enough, makes sense. Goodluck with it bro. Student Aid for college RE: the IRS is extremely annoying - slaugtherman64bites - Oct 6, 2020 (Oct 6, 2020 07:49 PM)Spiritual Wrote: Student Aid for college oh, but why do you need to id yourself for taxes in order to get that straight? The IRS won’t submit it in their records until they confirm it’s actually my tax return and not someone trying to commit fraud. And the Fasfa pulls that data from the IRS to figure out what your qualify for financial aid. But I got it resolved this morning thankful RE: the IRS is extremely annoying - Nate - Oct 6, 2020 Having to deal with the same shit for EDD :/ RE: the IRS is extremely annoying - Spiritual - Oct 6, 2020 (Oct 6, 2020 09:28 PM)Nаte Wrote: Having to deal with the same shit for EDD :/ Not quite sure what EDD is is that for unemployment?
