1000-1200$ PC build - St0rm - Jan 16, 2021 It's been a solid minute. With word of a stimmy check coming I wanna be prepped for a build so I can help a friend build hers. Kind of out of the loop right now so... Yeah, something like a 1000-1200 USD budget not counting monitor/keyboard/mouse/OS. Just straight build. Mostly gonna be used for light gaming/streaming and schoolwork from what I gather. Edit: I might just slot in a 960 I have laying around for her GPU due to the current GPU prices. But even so, I'd like recommendations for a GPU to replace it with once prices normalize. Thanks in advance :) RE: 1000-1200$ PC build - Jꮻꮶꭼꭱ - Jan 16, 2021 Here is the current build that I'm using.. Note that the 1660Ti Gaming X was NOT $598.xx when I built my rig, and you can more than likely 9 times out of 10 find it for way less than advertised pricing. Didn't go with a Ryzen 5000 CPU because they're pretty hard to find. 3600 is still a solid CPU that's in stock. If I had to choose a GPU. What would you recommend? Pretty sure I could fine a 2070 super or something around my area. Sucks that the crypto craze again has jacked up prices as much as they have. Other options would be 5700 XT, 1660 Super, 1660 Ti. |
