Two men killed in Tesla car crash 'without driver' in seat - Forensic - Apr 19, 2021 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-56799749 Seems we have some way to go RE: Two men killed in Tesla car crash 'without driver' in seat - Who Soup - Apr 19, 2021 I called it just the other day. Don't trust tesla's auto drive feature. RE: Two men killed in Tesla car crash 'without driver' in seat - TB12 - Apr 19, 2021 People keep abusing the “self driving” system, but they should be more clear about how it’s supposed to be used. RE: Two men killed in Tesla car crash 'without driver' in seat - Flash7475 - Apr 20, 2021 We are not at a point where you can just sit in the passengers seat and let the car do its thing on the highway, it still requires user input. Putting blind faith in the driving systems at this point is 100% user error for the crash imo. I wouldn't fault tesla for this at all, they give clear warning that you should be actively alert and attentive in the drivers seat. Plus it says the car wasn't equipped with the more advanced autopilot system nor did he enable anything of the sort so they essentially turned on cruse control and trusted it to go in a straight line. RE: Two men killed in Tesla car crash 'without driver' in seat - Aeowulf - Apr 20, 2021 Sounds like they won a Darwin award to me. RE: Two men killed in Tesla car crash 'without driver' in seat - Exalted - Apr 20, 2021 That's what you get when you put ignorant people in control of vehicles they clearly don't know how to manage. What the fuck makes you want to try this out. Basically, what Flash7475 said, couldn't agree more. RE: Two men killed in Tesla car crash 'without driver' in seat - Limitado - Apr 22, 2021 Rip to those guys but they should’ve know better than to put the car on cruise control and just leave. Honestly seen lots of these dumb trends on IG and tiktok. Sad man. Don't trust tesla's auto drive feature. First off, their car didn't even have navigate on autopilot (the fsd upgrade) they were driving on a street that didn't have lane lines which doesn't let you autopilot in, there was a whole lot of fud being spread with this article but most of it is BS i'm biased for sure, but i've got a tesla with the FSD upgrade and I've let that thing drive me for 3000+ miles, 70-90mph, no issues at all. teslas autopilot/navigate on autopilot is the real deal, no competitors come close RE: Two men killed in Tesla car crash 'without driver' in seat - Who Soup - Apr 27, 2021 (Apr 27, 2021 08:57 PM)AnonVender19 Wrote: First off, I also have a tesla with FSD upgrade and I can assure you it's shit. If you trust your life to it you're a fool. |
