Two men killed in Tesla car crash 'without driver' in seat |

We are not at a point where you can just sit in the passengers seat and let the car do its thing on the highway, it still requires user input. Putting blind faith in the driving systems at this point is 100% user error for the crash imo. I wouldn't fault tesla for this at all, they give clear warning that you should be actively alert and attentive in the drivers seat.
Plus it says the car wasn't equipped with the more advanced autopilot system nor did he enable anything of the sort so they essentially turned on cruse control and trusted it to go in a straight line.
That's what you get when you put ignorant people in control of vehicles they clearly don't know how to manage. What the fuck makes you want to try this out.
Basically, what Flash7475 said, couldn't agree more. (Apr 19, 2021 03:53 PM)Who Soup Wrote: I called it just the other day. Don't trust tesla's auto drive feature. First off, their car didn't even have navigate on autopilot (the fsd upgrade) they were driving on a street that didn't have lane lines which doesn't let you autopilot in, there was a whole lot of fud being spread with this article but most of it is BS i'm biased for sure, but i've got a tesla with the FSD upgrade and I've let that thing drive me for 3000+ miles, 70-90mph, no issues at all. teslas autopilot/navigate on autopilot is the real deal, no competitors come close
