Anyone ever try it out? I bought a few fishing magnets, curious to see what I find off some bridges in the bad parts of town.

This. I've watched countless amount of magnet fishing vids on YT myself lol.
I'd be down to try it personally, too. Sounds like fun.

You can get some nice fishing magnets for under 30.00 on Amazon. I can’t believe how strong these things are.

I have a thing for odd shit, i have some super bright flashlights i bought that shine up to 300 yards for no reason other than to fuck around with, so i shall add some ridiculously strong magnets to my collection also

Yes, as a kid / teen with my dad. It was fun and stuff, but it was for a short while.
We both didn't like it as much as we thought it would be. But hey, it was an experience!

I buy odd shit as well. Sometimes they sit for years before I use them. Or sometimes I come across them and think oh damn I forgot I bought this.

I have never tried it, but I have seen some related videos. The question I have is if the magnet goes to an ascetically large or heavy object that cannot be moved, what happens? Do you just cut the rope and lose it?

Same my girlfriend hates it she was grilling me for buying those flashlights and then i needed it one day and i never let her hear the end of it now

Yeah, you need one of those hooks on a rope to be able to pull out the heavy stuff that really makes you curious though..
Awesome little hobby forsure, people don't normally find much though just sayin, it is fun to saw WHAT you can get..
