Going to a restaurant right before close? - Livewire - Dec 5, 2021 As someone who has worked in restaurants for years, I find it to be rude af if you come in right before close. I will still make your order correct, but I will give minimal effort. And if you ask for some stupid special alterations, you're most likely not getting it. RE: Going to a restaurant right before close? - Lrrr - Dec 5, 2021 If you go to a restaurant right before close you're a jerk bro. We want to close as fast as possible and if you are going to eat in-house it kinda fucks up the eb and flow RE: Going to a restaurant right before close? - Nate - Dec 5, 2021 (Dec 5, 2021 05:30 PM)Lrrr Wrote: If you go to a restaurant right before close you're a jerk bro. But an actual sit down restaurant hell even Applebees I would feel bad to go in anywhere before 30-45mins at least before they close RE: Going to a restaurant right before close? - Scoppa - Dec 5, 2021 A friend of mine already punched a customer right in the face because he came 2 min before the close 🤣 RE: Going to a restaurant right before close? - Lrrr - Dec 5, 2021 (Dec 5, 2021 06:46 PM)Nаte Wrote: Agree with you on this, I never worked in the restaurant business but I mean it’s just common sense lol, unless it’s damn near like a fast food place and your hitting the drive thru right before they close. Try being a bartender at close... People become total assholes RE: Going to a restaurant right before close? - Ѕystem - Dec 5, 2021 I dedicated too much of my early life in the restaurant business to firmly hold the philosophy of "Unless you and/or your child(ren) are going to @#$%ing die forever if you don't get food in 20 minutes, DON'T show up at a restaurant an hour or so prior to their closing." NOPE. I've been there countless times and have done horrible things to their food out of spite to even the playing field. RE: Going to a restaurant right before close? - Ramayana - Dec 5, 2021 This would be like ordering Skip 10 minutes before close! RE: Going to a restaurant right before close? - HEISENPUG - Dec 5, 2021 i just ordered from TGi Fridays and they where about to close and when i got my meal they only gave me 5 pieces of chicken strips for $15 when it should of been 12. Either they fucked up or my door dasher ate my chicken. RE: Going to a restaurant right before close? - Pat13nt_Zer0 - Dec 5, 2021 There is a a special place in hell for these people. The special place that serves pineapples... RE: Going to a restaurant right before close? - Simon77 - Dec 6, 2021 It should be illegal to do this man. I only go to restaurant at evening when there's decent amount of people. Workers there should be taken care of too. RE: Going to a restaurant right before close? - Procyon - Dec 6, 2021 This must be so fucking annoying. I understand why some restaurants close their kitchen like 30 min or an hour before closing time. I worked in a restaurant for 2 years when I was attending high school and having customers come in right before close after a long day of work is the most annoying thing ever. Those are the same people that treat the waiters like shit and lack basic respect. Complaining about every little thing after walking in right before close. Makes me wanna take a huge dump on their plate and serve it like that. RE: Going to a restaurant right before close? - 2xTheTap115 - Dec 6, 2021 Yes, that's very rude. For many years I have worked both in gastronomy and trade, running a shop from a popular chain and there I had the opportunity to see how people can come and make absurd demands at the last moment before closing, while showing a complete disrespect to the other person. I understand your pain, man✌ |
