Sectional Forum Rules - Omniscient - Nov 20, 2022

I don't even think anyone reads them. For now, they are all deleted. Should be rewritten or redone in some ways anyhow.

Old list for reference...

I never knew about them until today.
Cool to have a thread that has all of them on it though.

RE: Sectional Forum Rules - Omniscient - Nov 20, 2022

Have you ever gone through our Extras page?

RE: Sectional Forum Rules - Fuze - Nov 20, 2022

I have seen the extras page while looking around. I noticed I couldn't do much on it though XD

RE: Sectional Forum Rules - Nostre - Nov 20, 2022

I came across it while viewing the extra page one day, but I don't think the vast majority have ever seen it. I can definitely see why they should be rewritten though.

I miss the old ban page and recent award list links 😂

What "old ban page"?

https://hackforums.net/bans.php

It's not been significantly changed since it was created.

RE: Sectional Forum Rules - theDuke - Nov 20, 2022

Back in the day everyone would try hard to get the helper award by linking to the Help Docs and reporting lol, I remember almost everyone was reading and following those rules. HF has changed a lot but the nostalgia is all still here :)

RE: Sectional Forum Rules - eXceptional - Nov 20, 2022

Well, those sectional rules were handy before making a thread. I did use them. Sad to see them go for now.

A small linking icon in the section that links to the original rule for that section would help.

I didn’t know they were there until you told me today. I thought they were stickies in threads that had them.

RE: Sectional Forum Rules - device - Nov 21, 2022

I thought these were useful guidelines actually.

RE: Sectional Forum Rules - Scotlands - Nov 21, 2022

Hello, I'm new to this forum, I'm not sure I know the rules very well and this post is locked, I don't know why it's locked, could you please tell me? I don't want to make the same mistake again, thanks

I'm surprised how little people know this exists I have used it everyday for the last 10 years. It's the only way I know to get to the bans list and imo the quickest way to view the group list if you're not a leader.

I don't think it killed it, but I'd like to see it be longer.

I use it quite often.

Also I think some important sectional rules can be directly printed at top of section (like the sticky thread print).

Didn't HF used to have it before? I think I remember something like that.

It shows the bans from the past 30 days now to Ub3r members. It was set to 3 days. Realistically, I now clear that page pretty heavily and just close all the accounts. I hardly even ban members anymore. What I'll do is ban them from my mobile and when I get on desktop I'll close the account (which removes the ban).

Let me know if you want someone to go through and update the rules. Could be a fun project for me.
