Good budget monitors for gaming (Performance wise) - CrypticHatter - Apr 7, 2023 Hello HackForums, I have stumbled upon PC gaming and as a console player for the last 10 years or so i would like everyone's opinion. So tell me what would you recommend to be a good gaming monitor budget/performance wise. I appreciate the feedback! I should've just made a poll but im not sure what monitors to list :P RE: Good budget monitors for gaming (Performance wise) - CrypticHatter - Apr 7, 2023 (Apr 7, 2023 09:04 PM)Yani Wrote: What's your budget? I personally have an MSi Optix MAG24C 24 Inch (144hz) which is Curved. I've had 0 issues with this monitor, it's amazing. EDIT: Also, make sure you're using display port (or DVI-D depending on what monitor you get, I personally recommend Display Port overall) since HDMI can't go up to 144hz (certain HDMI Cables can go up to 120hz, but you don't wanna go with HDMI). You also wanna make sure you check your NVIDIA settings to confirm that you have 144hz on your monitors enabled. A lot of people tend to forget to check that. Oh absolutely I use DP for my gaming rig and hdmi for my security system RE: Good budget monitors for gaming (Performance wise) - ALEDIO - Apr 8, 2023 (Apr 7, 2023 09:00 PM)CrypticHatter Wrote: Hello HackForums, If you want to bet immediately on a 144hz monitor, which is now essential to be able to play in a decent way, I recommend my own monitor, it should be around $250. My monitor is an MSI g272 with 1 ms response time, 144hz and 27 inches. Besides that there are many others, for example if you need an extra gear for graphics you can choose a 2 / 4k monitor. Finally, make your own considerations and see what works for you. |
