Good budget monitors for gaming (Performance wise)

Hello HackForums,

I have stumbled upon PC gaming and as a console player for the last 10 years or so i would like everyone's opinion.

So tell me what would you recommend to be a good gaming monitor budget/performance wise.

I appreciate the feedback!

I should've just made a poll but im not sure what monitors to list :P

I'd go for 144 and 24".

Id say anywhere from $200-$500

I know PC shit can be expensive but im sure there's a lot out there with good specs at a fair price

I think it's a good budget first monitor.

400 euros: LG UltraGear 27GP850-B (27")

I got my eyes on the ultra gear i think the overall designs are pretty sleek to say the least.

also would this be able to support xbox games say i wanted to use the monitor for xbox gaming
I'd recommend getting a monitor that's at least 24 inches and 144hz with 1ms response time.
I personally have an MSi Optix MAG24C 24 Inch (144hz) which is Curved.

I've had 0 issues with this monitor, it's amazing.

EDIT:
Also, make sure you're using display port (or DVI-D depending on what monitor you get, I personally recommend Display Port overall) since HDMI can't go up to 144hz (certain HDMI Cables can go up to 120hz, but you don't wanna go with HDMI). You also wanna make sure you check your NVIDIA settings to confirm that you have 144hz on your monitors enabled. A lot of people tend to forget to check that.

Because the Iiyama has a DisplayPort and HDMI. And the LG one has 1DP and 2HDMI. You'd use DisplayPort for PC gaming.

Alright ill check out that as well i appreciate it.

That might be true, I still recommend Display Port over everything else though.

If you want to bet immediately on a 144hz monitor, which is now essential to be able to play in a decent way, I recommend my own monitor, it should be around $250. My monitor is an MSI g272 with 1 ms response time, 144hz and 27 inches. Besides that there are many others, for example if you need an extra gear for graphics you can choose a 2 / 4k monitor. Finally, make your own considerations and see what works for you.
