Recently I've been interested a lot in black hat activites and methods, and I really enjoyed making tutorials about hacking. Aside of that, I think that it's a great way to bring more HQ content on HF, especially about the hacking field.

Many beginners come to HF and ask how to do certain things, most of the time they ask for the same thing. The objective of this thread is to gather all important tutorials and the most requested and act as a good entry point for new members looking for tutorials. Besides, you can also submit your requests, such as what you would like to see more on HF.

You're free to request for tutorials, or to make ones and ask that they appear here.

(1) : Be aware that the rules of HF still apply here, so few topics cannot be discussed and developped for obvious reasons. Do not ask for tutorials which could go against the rules. Regarding this, please take a look at the Help Docs and at the following thread : https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5981318

By the way, I want to avoid the usual questions such as :
  • How to do SQL injection ?
  • How to do XSS attack ?

These things can easily be answered with ChatGPT and with courses on training platforms such as Tryhackme or Hackthebox. If someone wants to make HQ thread / tutorial about these topics they are free, however I'll not spend my time doing what already exists.

hi, I'd like to learn more about privilege escalation in Linux in real-world scenarios. Recently, I managed to get a reverse shell on a server (Linux host1828359 4.19.0-20-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.19.235-1 (2022-03-17) x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux). I scanned for vulnerabilities using LinuxExploitSuggester and checked the system based on the hacktricks.xyz checklist. However, none of the CVEs worked due to missing dependencies and libraries like libbsd and shadow, which I can't install since I don't have root privileges. Also, building from source kept throwing new errors every time I fixed the previous ones. I also tried searching for SUID files, writable directories/files, .conf files, and other typical privilege escalation vectors, but nothing useful came up. In the end, I still couldn’t get root or the password of any other user. What would you recommend in situations like this, and in general, when it comes to privilege escalation in real-world scenarios? Maybe there are some tips or tricks you could share?

How do I put push notifications to whenever you post something? That'd be great to see your threads more
P.S. you can try to upload a thread on how to make an auto executable bypass usb malware drive. That'd be pretty interesting

I would like a tutorial on how to set up an wifi network with an external Wifi Card that would give the users access to the internet but would be capturing everything they would do. Basically I think it's a Man-in-the-middle attack.

Would you do a tutorial on IP tracking in the form if Spy pixels and such?
I would consider this a method of lesser interaction since the target only has to click on a seeming innocent mail.

By "such" i mean more methods of lesser interaction!
